I bought this vest to wear on duty. The armor is lighter and thinner than what my department issued me, and it has a higher rating. The vest is comfortable and well thought out. Only 2 fixes i would do: move the microphone loop more forward on the shoulder, or add a loop high on the chest on each side and on the armor on the front, add a patch of velcro at the bottom like there is at the top to keep the armor in place better. Definately not a deal breaker and a fantastic piece of equipment, especially for the cost.

I was hesitant at first about buying from a company I haven’t really heard of. Once I ordered my vest, I needed it delivered a lot sooner then the regular shipping the offered for free, got ahold of them over the phone and they were able to get it to me for no extra charge and had it in just enough time for my first shift. Highly recommend and will be back to buy other things.

Chokes you when you sit in patrol car. Needs a mic clip on the center chest the only ones are high up on shoulders. Movement is very limited not ideal for situations where you’ll be going hands on with subjects. Maybe one size smaller could make a difference but I believe that would be to less of coverage.

Aramid Flexcore has proven it can save your life – in June 2022 Michael Williamson, a security guard from Portland Oregon got into a scuffle with an unidentified suspect who shot Williamson in the chest.
