Comfort pads are made of closed-cell foam (possible replacement with a ballistic insert) with spacer mesh to improve thermal and overall user comfort, especially when carrying a fully loaded vest. Velcro flap and loops allow to hook camelback tube and/or radio wires. Made of Cordura 500D and a durable Cordura 500D-based laminate. Both fabrics are IRR treated.
