This carrier works great for heavier plates. The generous shoulder padding and well designed cummerbund make wearing this carrier for extended periods of time a breeze. Also, I love the quick release attachments, they make getting in and out of this carrier so much much easier than other cummerbund type carriers. Great product and great price however, there is no manufacturer label attached to describe who makes the helmet and what is capable of. So I made my own label with date of purchase. I would recommend this I plan on getting a NVG and possibly some headphones for a two way radio.
