Going from the issued ECH helmet to this one is night and day, especially when utilizing peltors, or other comm equipment. There is a lot of potential in terms of modularity, and personally I have spray painted mine depending on enviornment where it is being used. The lvl4 plates I received have been a great option just starting out and I love the padding that is around the edges does. It have a sharp angle on them. Not a single but of wear has formed on either plate after nearly two years of use.
