What threats does soft armor stop?
Soft armor is built to stop handgun rounds. Our Level IIIA panels defeat multiple shots from common pistol calibers up to .44 Magnum. For rifle threats you need hard armor plates, since soft panels are not rated for rifle rounds.
Is your soft armor NIJ-rated?
Yes. Our soft armor panels are independently tested to NIJ Standard 0101.06 at Level IIIA. Each product page lists the specific protection level so you know exactly what it stops.
Can soft armor be worn concealed under clothing?
Yes. The panels are thin, flexible aramid that conforms to your body, so they sit discreetly under a shirt or uniform. For the lowest profile, wear a loose, dark top so the vest outline stays hidden.
Does soft armor protect against knives and spikes?
Standard soft armor is ballistic only. If you also need edged-threat protection, choose our Anti-Stab panels, which add NIJ 0115 Stab1 protection and stop spike and edged blades up to 36 joules alongside handgun rounds.
How long does soft armor last?
Our soft armor panels carry an 8-year warranty when stored and used as directed. Ballistic protection can degrade with heat, moisture, and heavy wear, so inspect your panels regularly and replace any that show damage.
How do I clean and care for soft armor?
Never machine wash the panels, since water breaks down the aramid fibers and weakens protection. Remove the inserts, wipe the panel covers with a slightly damp cloth, skip fabric softeners, and let everything air dry fully before reassembling.
What is the difference between soft armor and hard armor plates?
Soft armor is flexible, lightweight, and rated NIJ Level IIIA to stop handgun rounds, making it ideal for concealed daily wear. Hard armor plates are rigid Level III, III+, or IV inserts that stop rifle rounds but add weight and bulk. Choose based on the threats you actually face.
How does soft body armor work?
