Durable 500D Cordura laminate

Cataphract SAR carrier is made of durable 500D Cordura laminate. Cordura is a highly durable fabric that is resistant to wear, tear, and abrasion. It is also water-resistant and breathable. The 500D designation refers to the fabric’s weight, which is measured in denier. A higher denier number indicates a heavier and more durable fabric.

IRR treatment

The Cordura laminate is also IRR treated. IRR stands for infrared reflective. IRR treatment reduces the fabric’s visibility to infrared devices, such as night vision goggles. This is important for military and law enforcement personnel who need to remain undetected in low-light or nighttime environments.

Coolmax® is a high-performance technical fabric developed by Invista (a subsidiary of DuPont), designed primarily to manage moisture and enhance breathability.

•    Moisture-Wicking: Coolmax fibers have a multi-channeled structure that increases surface area, helping pull sweat away from the skin and enabling quick drying.

•    Breathability: The fabric allows air to flow easily, which helps keep the skin cool and dry even during intense physical activity.

•    Durability: It resists shrinking, fading, and wrinkling, and retains its properties even after multiple washes.

This version features a hybrid cummerbund instead of a ballistic one and removes the rear MOLLE slots for a plate pocket, ensuring a more compact profile. The cummerbund features three magazine pocket slots on each side.
