CUT WEIGHT AND BE SAFE FROM SPALLING
The Lightweight Composite Ceramic Plate offers all the same capabilities of its steel counterpart, but with less mass. Specially designed for military and law enforcement purposes, the lightweight composite Ceramic Plate offers the same level of protection but is more mobile and less cumbersome.
Thanks to this technology these plates offer maximum protection of your torso and vital organs. Ceramic material provides extended coverage of vital parts and organs because bullets lose their speed after hitting ballistic vests with ceramic plates. Ceramic material doesn’t give room to the penetration of ammunition – according to tests conducted by an independent laboratory.
Available in 10×12″ size armour will fit almost any plate carrier available on the market.
This body armor plate is capable of stopping multiple AP rounds by itself! IIIA backing panel is not required.
WEIGHT 4.9 LBS
STRICT QUALITY CONTROL
Level 3+ Plate Test
KEY FEATURES:
Level 3+ is capable of stopping mild penetrating rounds such as M855A1 Green tip but is not rated to stop .30-06 APM2 rounds like with level IV.

FAQ
How much does plate armor weigh?
Ace Link Armor Level III+ Special Threat Ceramic Body Armor Plates weighs only 4.9 lbs. each. These plates are significantly lighter and provide more comfort to wear inside plate carriers, than when compared to AR500 armor plates. We have many plates models available, make sure you choose the right one for your needs!
Is it illegal to wear body armor in public?
It is legal to wear body armor plates or bulletproof body armor in public; for self-defense or emergency situations, as long as the local law enforcement agency where you are, or state law where you live results in not prohibiting a person from wearing one. It is your choice if you want to wear body armor under your clothes or suit, or if you find comfort in wearing one at a public venue. Wearing body armor inside public places, businesses and schools is not illegal in the United States. Some states may have laws that require a license or permit to possess a bulletproof vest within its jurisdiction but it cannot regulate someone from wearing one while still on his/her private property or traveling through public spaces (airports, bus terminal, malls etc). Outside of those areas however, you can usually wear body armor without any legal restrictions or paperwork being filled out under state law.
Can plate armor stop a bullet?
Not all armor plates can stop all bullets; specifically, only armor in soft or hard versions rated for a particular range of bullet calibers are able to stop those bullets from penetrating armor when fired from a barrel. Law enforcement wears body armor plates that can at least stop a bullet from their own duty weapon in case of use against themselves.
For example, the standard 9mm duty pistol in the US, and bullets fired from it are typically rated to be stopped by soft body armor plates that stop most common handgun bullets from penetrating. However hard armor plates capable of stopping rifle rounds are heavier than soft armor versions and hot, which can cause burns if not worn under certain clothing. One such type of plate might stop a bullet at point-blank range but will not stop a bullet fired at anyone wearing it from a hundred yards away.
Plate type is also important when considering what projectile will penetrate the armor; for instance, many types of ammunition (particularly military surplus or special purpose) may have different performances against specific armors depending on factors like caliber size or shape (spherical, flat-nosed, semi-wadcutter), the alloy used in the bullet, and its velocity. It should be noted that it’s common for soft armor to stop certain types of projectiles fired from handguns at greater range than they would be rated to stop them when fired from a rifle; this is because higher velocity directly relates to how deeply and quickly a projectile can penetrate an object.
What do Level 3 plates and level IV body armor plates stop?
NIJ Level III Stand Alone PE body armor plates can defeat up to .308 M80 Ball Ammo rounds; with NIJ Level IV Stand Alone Ceramic plates able to stop up to Armor Piercing .30-06 APM2 rounds. The gap in-between these two levels are where the Level III+ Special Threats Plate fits in with its steel-core ammo stopping ability.
What will Level 3+ armor plates stop?
Level 3+ is capable of stopping mild penetrating rounds such as M855A1 Green tip but is not rated to stop .30-06 APM2 rounds like with level IV.
How much do Level III+ body armor plates and carriers cost?
Level III+ Armor Plates with both(front and back) plate carriers worn on the body with shoulder straps and a cummerbund system can be found as separately sold items, or as value-priced bundled items on Ace Link Armor’s website.
What are armor plates made out of?
Level 3+ plates are made out of a combination of PE and Ceramic, with an abrasion-resistant nylon outer cover that surrounds the armor. Law Enforcement officers are now up-armoring their concealable handgun rated body armor with plate carriers- in case they need rifle protection as well.
