My brother bought Ace Link III+ plates and a Quadrelease carrier first…and I watched some Youtube videos and then added a pair of ceramic/poly for my own. I have a LBT QRC carrier on the way, and I may add Ace Link side plates and a soft armor as a deformation block up front. I am trying to buy smart as I put this together, but I am happy with the AL purchase thus far. I have tried resizing this photo for a half hour and it is continually giving me an error, so you just get the text.

It’s always difficult to rate armor on the most important aspect of body armor. Stopping the rounds they say they are rated to stop is not something 99% of armor owners hope to never really test for themselves. I love it!! Spent the last few days wearing it.even got a couple work outs in while wearing it.way more comfortable than I would have imagined.even running with two 10lb plates.ace link armor is most definitely the way to go !!

Going from the issued ECH helmet to this one is night and day, especially when utilizing peltors, or other comm equipment. There is a lot of potential in terms of modularity, and personally I have spray painted mine depending on enviornment where it is being used. Solid purchase and a few of my buddies just got theirs as well after trying mine out.
